Autumn Seminars
The round of seminars will deal with the following topics:
- Significant changes to the legislation on Solicitors Undertakings from December 1st, 2010 - As you may be aware from the media the current practise of Solicitors giving undertakings to Financial Institutions is under considerable scrutiny. The Law Society has just enacted a regulation that will come into force from the 1st December 2010. The effect of the regulation will be that a solicitor may not provide an undertaking to a Financial Institution to register a charge in respect of a commercial property transaction.
- Personal service in relation to the debt recovery process - The service of documents on a debtor is a very important step in the legal proceedings and P&F aims to provide the Credit Union with information to understand proper service.
