Expertise & Experience:

Michael Fitzpatrick qualified in 1981 and since that date has specialised in all aspects of litigation to include the practice areas referred to above.  He has practised widely in the District Circuit, Circuit Court and High Court and with appeals to the Supreme Court.  He has also conducted criminal cases in the District Court, Circuit Court and Central Criminal Court and dealt with appeals from these Courts.  He now tends to concentrate on Circuit and High Court Civil Personal Injury litigation and Employment Appeals Tribunal litigation and litigation involving professional bodies such as the Medical Council and has acted in the defence of all areas of litigation, both personal injury related and property related.  He has appeared, personally, in all Courts in addition to instructing Counsel (Barristers) with regard to litigation.  In summary he has almost 30 years experience in all aspects of litigation involving personal injury claims, commercial law, land disputes, employment disputes, Wills and Probate and inheritance disputes and defence of all such claims.

Education & Professional:

Michael Fitzpatrick qualified from the National University of Ireland in Galway in 1978 with a B.A. Honours Degree in Legal Science. 

He subsequently became apprenticed as a trainee Solicitor with a firm of Solicitors in Galway and was admitted to the Law Society professional courses and qualified as a Solicitor in 1981.

He commenced employment with the firm of Pierse & Fitzgibbon, Solicitors as an Assistant Solicitor in the Litigation Department in February 1982, becoming a Partner in the firm in 1989 and becoming head of the Litigation Department of the firm in 1995.
